LeirAが2022年2月初頭をもって、現体制を終了すると2021年12月28日（火）公式Twitterアカウントで発表した。

現体制の終了について公式Twitterアカウントでは

今後のLeiraの活動についてメンバー、ならびにスタッフで何回も話し合いを重ねた結果、メンバー4名は卒業し、Leiraは現体制を終了することに決定致しました。

現体制ラストライブを2022年2月初頭に行うことも合わせて発表。詳細については改めてアナウンスされる。

現体制終了後グループは充電期間に入り、充電期間中に新メンバーを募集し活動を再開することも明らかにした。

公式Twitterアカウントの発表にはメンバーもコメントを寄せており、活動を振り返りファンに向けて感謝の気持ちを綴っている。

公式Twitterアカウントからの発表を受け、メンバーも自身のTwitterアカウントでLeiraからの卒業とグループの現体制終了を報告。

活動を振り返り自身のへ胸応援について感謝の言葉を綴っている。また全員今後も何らかの活動を行っていくことも明らかにした。

LeirAが2021年12月6日（月）をもって川野けいのグループ脱退を公式Twitterアカウントで発表した。

脱退の理由について、公式Twitterアカウントでは

本人から精神疾患の診断されたとのことで脱退の申し出を受け、ご家族やマネジメントと時間をかけ話し合いを重ねて参りましたが結論として本人の気持ち、体調面を優先に考慮、治療を専念するためグループを脱退することに至りました。

5名体制の新ユニット『LeirA(レイラ)』が2021年5月9日（日）にAKIBAカルチャーズ劇場で行われる@JAM PARTY vol.60のオープニングアクトとして出演、デビューすることが公式Twitterアカウントで発表された。

LeirAは香港の芸能事務所であるスタークリエイティブプロダクションと＠JAMの総合プロデューサーである橋元恵一氏とによるプロジェクト。2021年12月からスタンディングメンバーオーディションを開催した。

LeirAのメンバーとして発表されたのは

乙坂瑛美（おとさかえみ）

瀬川いちか（せがわいちか）

松山綺利（まつやまきり）

川野けい（かわのけい）

成瀬れおな（なるせれおな）

メンバーとして発表された瀬川いちかと成瀬れおなは2021年4月18日（日）Shibuya Milkywayで現体制ラストライブを行ったmaplezのメンバーとして活動を行っていた。

発表を受けて、メンバーも自身のTwitterアカウントでLeirAとして活動を行っていくいくことの報告、自己紹介、活動への意気込みなどを投稿している。
