PROTO PLOTが2023年3月から体調不良のため活動を休止している海国憂花の活動辞退を2023年5月30日（火）付で受理、契約を解除することになったと公式Twitterアカウントで発表した。

活動辞退の理由について、PROTO PLOT公式Twitterアカウントの発表では

本人より復帰の目処が立たず活動を辞退したいとの申し出がありました

PROTO PLOT公式Twitterアカウントの発表を受け、海国憂花も自身のTwitterアカウントの活動辞退を報告。

待っていたファンに対してお詫びと友に感謝の言葉を述べる一方で、表に出る活動も辞めると自身の胸の内を明かした。
